When you arrive
To get the most out of your time on Birthing Suite, it helps to integrate with the team. A simple way to build rapport is to bring snacks to share with the staff.
Because 5th‑year students have priority for births, you can only participate in labours and births during shifts without a rostered 5th‑year such as Nights, Weekends, or between 5th‑year cycles.
As a 6th‑year rostered to Birthing Suite, you can follow the Obstetric Registrar On‑Call and the Obs Assessment.
