How to get there

Gynaecology clinic at North Shore Hospital is located in the main building, on the ground floor.

It can be found easily by entering through Entrance 2 and turning right.

Look up the patients before you arrive using clinical portal.

Gynaecology clinics start at 9am or 1pm. Make sure you arrive early, before the clinic starts

Revise ‘How to do a Pelvic Examination’

When you arrive

Gynaecology clinics start at 9am or 1pm.

Introduce yourself to the reception staff, say you are here to sit in with the doctor. Ask where you should wait.

When the doctor arrives, introduce yourself. Say that you have looked up the cases.

What you might be able to do from the logbook

  • Conduct a speculum/bimanual examination/swabs/smear

  • Assessment of clinical conditions eg Heavy Menstrual Bleeding, Incontinence (See Page 8-9)
